This one's from Ft. Lauderdale FL and he needs some on-going, albeit sporadic, typing done in WordPerfect using tables. He's an antique dealer/appraiser; he goes through an estate handwriting the inventory, then faxes the information to me to key into a WP file and e-mail it back. Neat thing is, he agreed to set up a PayPal account so he can pay via credit card or check and I don't have to wait for "the check is in the mail." :-)
It's neat work too because it gives me a little background in the antique business as far as descriptions in case I run into some more work like this to do.
My free e-fax (www.efax.com) account has really come in handy since I don't have a plain paper fax machine. I don't have to worry about incoming paper jams, curled up illegible paper, or busy signals if I'm on the phone. Clients fax to my e-fax account, it goes to their server and they e-mail the fax to me; I print it out on my printer. No lost faxes. Gotta love these free business services today! :-)
