Hi TJ,

Sorry to hear about your broken foot! I sprained mine 3x in one month about 20 yrs ago and had to have a splint cast for 6 wks. Not much fun since my son was an infant at the time. Hang in there!

Yes, the surgery went very well. I finally had a hysterectomy to resolve some ever increasing problems that cost me my job in August. Since I was able to have it done with no incisions at all, the recovery time is quicker.

Good luck with your offline marketing. I decided to give offline local marketing a last ditch effort after losing my job. It cost me a bit o' money with NO return on my investment. So I pitched the idea again of offline marketing in this area. Our local newspaper even did a couple full articles addressing the fact that this county just isn't with the program of outsourcing work to ICs, we're still so behind the times it is pathetic! So I don't do offline marketing any more at all, except for keeping business cards and brochures on hand to pass out once in a while.

My girlfriend here in PA started a new venture.. a small "Who's Online" guide booklet available for free. Our newspaper even did a write up on THAT and she's not doing well with it yet. She doesn't get the advertisers she'd hoped to get, and I haven't gotten one "hit" from being advertised in her guide book either.

I've been getting more traffic to my site lately; haven't reached the daily triple digit figures in visitor counts yet, but it's more than I used to get. And do I get any PA client prospects? Nooooo They're from CA, MI, NJ, etc. and even Canada and England! I have pretty good SE positioning and I keep my Yahoo classified ads fresh too. I've sold a few booklets online, but not even ONE to a PA resident! We'll probably catch up when I'm ready to retire!! LOL

I've tried almost every Free avenue of offline advertising that's been suggested to me by professional online marketers.. and was finally told by one marketing "guru" - Why waste my time and money on offline marketing when I'm getting most of my clients online anyway. So I'm just sticking with keeping my web site going; I update my meta tags and resubmit to the SE about every 3 mos. That seems to be helping a little anyway.

I visited a local Women in Busienss group here and was NOT impressed, so I never joined. I was a member of our Chamber too for one year but couldn't afford to renew my membership.

Hope you have better luck in your area than I have in mine! LOL I'm sticking strictly with online marketing, and since I know it's never going to fully support me, it's back to full time employment again soon while my biz remains a part time venture.

BTW.. my logo was designed by Design Art Graphics (I have a link to Kevin's site on mine). He's a local here and a very good friend of mine. He's working on refreshing his site, then wants to hit the online marketing himself to build some business.
