Naturally, it depends on the quality of the source material, and the font size, margins, etc. Handwritten material always slows me down, no matter how perfect it is. I have to charge by the hour or at least $5/$6 per page for handwritten material. That's using 1" margins all around, 12 pt times. Most of the time I quote by the hour, which is $20, but I'll give them an idea of how many pages I type per hour.
Don't forget, you have expenses, too. The self-employment tax along snatches 15% off the top. But it comes down to how much you're willing to accept per hour, so you have to figure out how long it takes you to type those pages.
I charge by the hour for edits. Of course, there's no charge for correcting my mistakes. I don't save to disk very often, so I usually throw a floppy disk in for free. I buy them in bulk and they only cost .25/.50 each.
