I'm not familiar at all with FrontPage but I've heard a lot of good about it. Actually, I kinda "cheated" a little when I did my new web site. There was a web site who's layout was perfect for what I needed, so I copied/saved it using Netscape's Composer, then changed the colors, headers, meta tags, titles, etc and put my own copy in. I've been revising the same layout ever since and learning html as I go.

There are a lot of good programs out there to get your first web site up, including templates that you might be able to get from your ISP.

I would suggest researching your competitors' sites (mine included if you like) to see how and what they have on theirs.

Stay away from "cute" things and animated graphics; they dont' lend well to professionalism and increase downloading time for your site's visitors.

Make sure your email, phone/fax and address are visible and your site on the whole is user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Below is a link for learning html - it's easy and I keep this site bookmarked for my own reference as well. It really comes in handy!
