The way I look at it, you are paying for those doctor visits one way or another. You are either paying when you go to the doctor (maybe $100 to $200) or you are paying that much EVERY month in premiums to have those visits covered.
In most states there are health insurance plans available at a very low rate for children.
Every person/family has to decide what the correct amount of coverage is for their particular situation.
