: Hello Everyone!

: Things are starting to pick up around here.

Glad to hear that!

: I have had two customers in the last week. It isn't much but at least it is a start.

I certainly wouldn't complain! 8)

: I need to know:

: 1. What sex are most of your customers?

Jeepers, I never really thought about it. I guess it's pretty equal for me.

: 2. What is the majority of the size are the businesses that use your services?

Small

: 3. Which advertising you find to be effective.

YP and some referrals. I like referrals!

: I have just learned that men should be targeted for our services. Small businesses and or homebased businesses should be our target market and direct marketing letters seem to be the way to go with advertising. Does anyone out there agree with these statements?

Men are good targets, actually, because they generally lack typing skills. Some just don't "want to take the time" to do the typing, so they start searching the YP.

Need to be careful about targeting small and home-based businesses. They generally don't (I sure didn't) have the funds for paying someone, unless they had a really good financial start.

I went on a direct-mail campaign for a while. Not one bite. Funds were also getting low, so I had to stop. Made me even more glad that I joined the Connection Club (networking group) of my local Chamber of Commerce. My weekly meetings get me out of the house. I've gotten some business from my group.

Hope this stuff helps. 8)
