I have a long-term client who is now having me print photos on my deskjet. I am charging for time spent (as usual), but have found that I went through a color cartridge in two weeks!
I found some inexpensive glossy injet paper at Sam's Club, 200 sheets for $20 - such a deal! This means I don't have to upcharge much for the paper.
However, I had no idea that I would run through a color ink cartridge this fast! This client is local but deals with an unreasonable home office out of state. I would like to charge an upfront amount for each page printed in color - say, $1.00? But I'm afraid this would make waves on my weekly invoice to the home office.
Shall I suggest to the local office that they purchase ink cartridges for me, and I will continue to charge for time?
Thanks for help with this touchy situation!
