I worked and sweated and fretted over a bid which could mean steady work for about 6 months. It's work in a different area - database design. Closed my eyes and finally submitted the bid - via email - to the client.
Finally forced myself to call the client today to review the bid - concerned that the first words from the client would be - "Sorry - your bid is too high." Instead - when we got to the page with the $$$, she said the bid amount and "That's not bad."
Now I'm thinking - DARN IT!!!! I shoulda bid higher!!@!@!@!@!@!@!@
I now have to await budget approval for the bid - but anticipate that's a slam dunk. Meanwhile I'll try to focus on all the experience this will be giving me on the client's nickel. Also to be thankful that I literally doubled the amount that first popped in my head to bid.
But anyway - don't ya' sometimes just hate the bidding scene?!?!?!?!!?
As always - thanks for listening.
