: I would like to ask for prayers from all of you. On Tuesday, January 18, my 4 year old son, Trent, was diagnosed with brain stem glioma. This is basically a tumor located inside of the brain stem that is inoperable. He started radiation and chemotherapy on Wednesday, January 19. Radiation will last for six weeks, and chemo will last for a year. The prognosis is not good. The hope is that the tumor will shrink and go into remission, so that we can have some time with our son. Please pray that the cancer will go into remission and that another treatment will become available in time. We live in Glen Rose, Texas, which is near the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Thank you all in advance for your prayers and encouragement.

Dear Connie, I know how hard this is for you & your family. I spent many years working in pediatric oncology. Do not lose hope. Miracles do happen & I have seen them. Children really are very resilient and wonderful little patients. I loved them all. Trent & his family will definitely be in my prayers. Sincerely, Joyce Donohue
