Just found out something interesting about HP laser printers that I thought I'd share in case it's of use to someone else. (Ink jets may have something similar, but I'm not sure.)

A self-test print-out from my HP laser printer gives me a page count of how many pages have been printed by my printer. One woman uses this count to track the number of pages she gets from each toner cartridge. It would also be possible to use this count to track how many pages you print for a certain project (draft and final).

My current page count is 92,980. Maybe I'll send my printer out for a wash and wax when it reaches 100,000! :-)

Thank goodness we're still learning new things . . .
