I want to apologize for not being able to access the message forum last night. I've spent the last hour on the phone with tech support trying to resolve the problem.
Yesterday, I registered a new domain name for one of my clients and set up a sub-directory for his web page. My web host then set up a pointer so that my client's URL would point to his sub-directory. Unfortunately, they got the IP addresses mixed up and my main domain would go to his page, and none of my pages would load. Tech support fixed the problem but, to make matters worse, once the wrong page was cached, I.E. wrote it to the Windows Registry and then would still not access my site, with either I.E. or Netscape. Clearing the history didn't help. Leave it to Microsoft to make things difficult. We then had to edit the hosts file in my Windows directory to at least access my page correctly. What a hassle! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
One thing I learned, though...if you use the "www." in front of a URL and the page doesn't load correctly, try it without the "www", just http://typeright.com or whatever, and it will load the page fresh. Have you ever refreshed the page but it didn't seem to work? Another trick I learned is to press the shift key while clicking on refresh, or press the shift key while clicking on a link from favorites, and it will refresh the page.
Anyway, I still can't access my client's page with the "www". The Windows Registry isn't something to play with and we are hoping it will correct itself by this evening. At least the message forum is back, and that's the main thing, right? :)
Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you are all able to access the board now.
